CD FATS WALLER PLANET JAZZ NEW ORIGINAL SEALED
Thomas "Fats" Waller (1904 - 1943) was an American pianist, composer and singer.
Like other musicians after him, Waller was given the nickname "Fats" (Grassone) for his considerable size. Also because of racial discrimination, and despite his incredible musical talents and exceptional compositional skills, Waller played the role of the fool for most of his life. Waller, who was gifted with a cheerful and joker character, never showed himself to be worried about this underestimation of his artistic figure. At eighteen he had already written his first hit, played for the best cabarets in New York and recorded for the most popular blues singers of those years.
The album on sale brings together his most unforgettable achievements in his career, a collection published by BMG in 1997
